Both, the new ubiquitious computing paradigm as well as the introduction of multimedia technology to computing, make existing techniques and approaches for user interface design insufficient and inadequate and force the need for new, alternative approaches for human-computer interaction.
Our current work in this context includes
- Advanced interfaces for pen-based computing
- Interface issues in the tele-teaching scenario
- New approaches for comfortable navigation and
skimming of multimedia documents
