The Multimedia Research Group for the Chair of Algorithms and Data Structures deals with various questions and problems from the area of multimedia technologies. Our focus are research areas such as control and recording of distributed multimedia applications, multimedia information retrieval, annotation of multimedia data, etc. Testings and evaluations of developed solutions and concepts, and their usage in real-world applications are carried out within the framework of projects such as VIROR and ULI (two research initiatives in which our group is participating in).

In addition, we have successfully developed the "Authoring on the Fly" system (AOF), which is an integrated approach to combine traditional teaching process at universities with the area of teleteaching and the development of educational hypermedia documents for integration within distributed information systems.
